Fire at the firing range
Across the Firth lies Fort George, actually just out of shot to the right, on a peninsula commanding the narrows on the approach to Inverness. It is a brutal place, and I'll say more of that another day.
Behind Fort George, in centre blip, is the military firing range at Ardersier, where troops come to learn to shoot people. Clearly, the rules applied to us don't affect the military. So the loud and repeated public warnings not to do anything which might start a fire on tinder-dry terrain were ignored.
They carried on noisily blazing away today and, blaze is what they got. As you can see.
