Ingenuity 3

There is a tower in Leith 4.5m tall. It is being used to generate electricity using gravity. Gravitricity! While this tower is only a prototype the concept is to use deep disused mine shafts to generate significant quantities of gravitational power. Every unit of renewable energy is key to our planet’s long term survival in a state that can sustain all life on earth.

I tried to find this tower this afternoon but was defeated by the tram extension roadworks. I snatched this car shot of The Royal Yacht instead. Today, after all, is the Queen’s 95th birthday.

By way of compensation we took off to Aberlady in the late afternoon. This was our first trip outwith our locality for almost six months. The tide was low. The larks were high. The sky deep blue and completely plane free. This is the first time we have walked here without seeing or hearing any aircraft.
