The ZOO!!

Fiona Wednesday with Fiona and Tatum.    There is no school on wednesday but Fi goes on Tues and  Thurs so our new day is Wed.  Tatum has decided not to return to in school classes so maybe we'll entice her out with us a few times at least.
We did manage a timed ticket to the zoo on this last day of 70s weather we are told.  Such a different experience..most of the indoor exhibits are closed and all those little caves the kids used to climb in.  Only 10 at a time to see our favorite river otters and the bears and a long line so we didn’t wait, as there were some other Asian claw footed otters we could get close to outside.   We really wanted to see the gorillas as there is a new baby born on Fiona’s birthday Jan 29.   And another about a year old in the other family.   A bit of a line for that and altho they were out, there was such a bad reflection on the glass it was impossible to get a photo..I think the polarizer wouldn’t have helped much… But we saw the babe Zuna with her family together!   And of course poor Tatum got bombarded with questions since we haven’t spent time with her for a very  long time…. She’s really looking forward to college at the UW now, knows they’ve missed a lot of academics at school…but "the whole class will be the same."    I think our family will be able to have a decent graduation event in June when everyone is fully vaccinated (except Fi).   Yea!

I’m so tired of masks and photos of masks and the only non masked picture I got is when we sat down to have a cold drink in the shade…no crowds there!…so that is the blip.   Will pay more attention next time...
The extra is looking at the penguins, the gorillas (use your imagination) , looking for the bears, who were NOT out and those very cute claw footed otters.


Will try to entice Tatum out some other wednesdays….
