Ben Vuirich
So the first hill of the year has been bagged. Ben Vuirich lies near Blair Atholl and required a bike then a steep climb to get to the top. We’d a lovely day with fantastic views of the snowy Cairngorms and the Perthshire hills. At 2900 feet Ben Vuirich is classified as a Corbett, of which there are 222 in Scotland. Lots of folk move on to climbing them after the Munros though in many respects it’s a tougher challenge as many are very remote and most do not have paths.
