An Ootheca!

Today I was searching the big Viburnum bushes in hopes of finding a praying mantis. No luck, but I found this ootheca, a praying mantis egg case. It was about 25 metres from the female I blipped two days ago. This means there are at least two females, but is there a male? Males will fly about looking for females. It will be about seven months before I know if the ootheca contains fertilised eggs.
