Spring Peacock Butterfly

Emergency blip using the iPhone... which is not my style at all but, it is all I had with me on my dog walk when, I spied my first butterfly of 2013.
I am not an expert so had to look it up (sad I know) which is how I know it is a Peacock and not at all rare, apparently.
Pretty rare on the Guernsey cliffs on 8 March I would say but, the sun was out, it was beautiful and warm so I guess he felt he had to come out for a look..hope he likes what he saw as it would be tricky to get back into the pupa if he didn't!
I think he will have a shock on Monday morning as the temperature is forecast to drop from 12ºc to 2ºc overnight...eek! back to winter 8-(

New baby is still in maternity and sadly Miss Izzy who is with us has a horribly high temperature and a bug...keeping her away from new little sister for the time being! The doctor has prescribed antibiotics but, not working as yet!
