Thank Carrot Cake it's Friday!

Been a bitterly cold day. There were definitely snowflakes in the wind that was blasting in our faces on the walk today. A bit of fox poop and a deer head added interest too!
Carrot cake was requested today and is of course my picture: although between it coming out of the oven and being cool enough to ice it seems to have met with a sharp knife and a small accident!
The chilli is simmering away nicely (just in case you think we only eat cake), the fire is on and the wine is warming beside it. It's officially the weekend!

I just make it in a square tin instead of individual muffins and always add the juice of the orange you've zested for the recipe.
