Wish I hadn't asked....
We have an excellent independent pet store locally who only stock the best pet foods with no additives etc. They are always happy to give dietary advice and really do know all about hidden or misleading ingredients. They have a large selection of the strangest animal parts all air dried naturally with no preservatives. Ginny has been having lamb's ears - not for the squeamish, any of them. There are also pig's ears and snouts - quite cute actually. Ginny also had a naturally dried largish piece of rawhide but it smelt terrible when it was moistened with her chewing. She has all but finished it now so I thought I would choose something that may not smell so bad. There was something called a "pizzle" which was stick-like and seemed innocuous. At the checkout I casually asked "what is a pizzle" ..... a bull's penis said the young man without a hint of embarrassment. I have looked online and apparently they can also give off a "natural" odour when chewed (by a dog!) Have spared you a blip photo of said item and instead you have this row of orange tulips - much nicer!
