Longsleddale Valley

We drove all the way to the end of the Longsleddale Valley in my little Fiat Panda because the road is very  narrow and you might meet an oil delivery tanker or a delivery van,  we met both. At the end of the tarmacked road before it becomes a rough track over the pass there's room for quite a few cars to park and we were very surprised to see how many were there at lunch time on a Thursday. ( See extra)    A circuit up to bag a Wainwright Outlier  and lunch on the top of Cocklaw Fell. This shot was taken on the way back to the car after the  second extra.  Look at all those new leaves coming out and the ruin under the tree.  You can make out the track over the pass in the second extra. A good afternoon out.
