Back to school!

I did a practical class today with the millinery tutor I did the business class with. It was making a silk peony. There were 5 of the 10 of the business class students on the call so it was lovely to catch up.
We learned how to make our own stamens from thread, melted wax crayon and glue. Very messy and time consuming, but a great technique. See extra for close up.

Lots of new tips too, which included using cheap hairspray to stiffen silk, instead of a water /adhesive solution! So I’m trying that now.
