Heartfelt
After such an emotional day yesterday, me, hubs sis and BiL slept pretty well last night.
We left all our "kids" together at daughters house about 7.30 and came home here.
The extra is all of us toasting hub "to celebrate what a wonderful man he was"
We decided to bring all his flowers home to our respective gardens. My blip is my heart, literally......and his name in extras too.
Sis's four came to collect them in their people. carrier about 10.30 for their journey back to Southampton.......hopefully less eventful than their journey up yesterday morning!! They planned to leave at 6am initially, but for "some reason" had a change of heart at the last minute and decided to leave 4.30!!! Talk about divine intervention, they got caught up in the overturned HGV.....which shed its load of washing machines all over all 3 lanes causing an M6 north closure for over 2 hours. They did make it before 11, hubs funeral was 1pm......if they'd left at 6 they would not have got here in time!!
A tearful goodbye this morning when they all departed, youngest and DiL stayed with me for another couple of hours, They had not been home since Tuesday afternoon, so I threw them out at 1pm ;-)
I needed to go to the bank, so decided to walk down and enjoy the sunshine, called into one of the nicer card shops to get the May birthday cards, there are 6, was caught on the hop when I saw the "husband" section....bit of a meltdown in the shop, luckily my mask and tinted glasses hid what was going on :-( Went to Costa, sat outside for a while......then had an absolute bawling session when I got home.....resulting headache followed, but have been ok since to be fair.
Sat in the garden got the last hour of sun, washed my cream jacket, which was covered in daughters makeup following yesterday, its all come out though.
Had the last of the lasagna DiL made for us all yesterday, for my tea tonight. Been trying to do a couple more things on line tonight, but the Gov website seems to be down :-/ Oh well, will try in the morning.
Had so many lovely messages off friends who joined us for the service via a live stream......only 30 of us allowed inside, but at least another 100 people from as far away as USA, Australia, Cyprus and Tenerife <3 thank goodness for technology!
I have promised hub that I will "get out there" so have made one or two plans for the coming weeks.....its a start.
Hope you are all still taking care oit there and thank you so so much for all your kind and caring comments over the last 6 months xxxxxx
