Scotland's National Animal
The Unicorn was adopted as Scotland's national animal in medieval times. It appeared on the Scottish royal coat of arms in the 12th century and statues of the Unicorn wrapped in golden chains are widely found around the country in Edinburgh, Stirling Castle, Linlithgow Palace, St Andrews University, and on Mercat Cross columns amongst others. This wicker version in my blip is in The Helix Park, Falkirk home of The Kelpies
