Finally....

I spent 15 years of my life negotiating this crossing.
There are two schools diagonally opposite each other at this busy junction. One is a boys secondary and the other one is the primary our three girls went to.

It’s a horrible junction and it never had a pedestrian crossing. We did have amazing lollipop men and ladies though.

Parents lobbied the council for years to make this safer. I was once part of a delegation which presented the case to a council meeting but to no avail.

Visiting here again though I was pleased to see a proper safe crossing.

No idea why it took so long but it’s fab to see it.

Had another lovely granny day and then a lovely walk in the early evening with youngest after she finished work.
