In which I weigh up my resources

I have had a truly dreadful afternoon at work and am exhausted by the endless slog that goes alongside teaching.

This is the sum total of my life savings. Looking at it objectively, the retirement option to a warm and cultured European destination might have to wait a couple of lifetimes.
