That Friday feeling

I woke up this morning with an overwhelming desire to be waking up in a tent. I started daydreaming about a little camping trip to Wales next weekend and then I remembered that campsite facilities aren't open and I'm not prepared to pee in a bush for an entire weekend. Moments later mum messaged to say that they're booking a campsite in Bala next weekend and do I want to join? A caravan with a toilet! And a shower! Welsh Mountains! Lakes and kayaks! Yes please.

This morning we took the John Muir girls gorge walking. It's incredible that in just a 10 min walk from school you can find the most incredible waterfall to bound around in. Of course, I was the only person to fall into the freezing cold pool. Fully clothed. We walked over the waterfall and up through pools and, having never explored so far behind the waterfall before, I was amazed. It was like a jungle. So flipping cool. 

A quick change, including drying my pants under the hand dryer at school so that I didn't have to sit through a mentoring session in wet underwear. A hard but good session, which is pretty standard now.

Straight onto a meeting with a church leader before heading home via coop for a bottle of wine which I felt was pretty well needed.

It feels like it's been a long weekend and I am so glad it's the weekend!
