A new hobby

We've been looking at people paddleboarding for a year or two now, and the convenience of having a light craft to carry to the edge of the lake really appealed (we've had a kayak for a few years, and lugging it on and off the roofrack is pretty hard work). 

So a couple of weeks ago we ordered a couple of boards, and they arrived this week. Deb worked all day yesterday and the day before, so today was our first chance to have a go. Drove over to Crummock, where the access to the lake was easy, and spent a couple of hours on the SUPs. (Stand up paddleboards)

Started kneeling, but was standing pretty quickly, and I think I really started getting the hang of it before too long. It's a wonderful sport, and we're looking forward to paddling on many different lakes.
