Green milk

'Mind it's the blue milk, no the green milk ah'm after!'

Heard outside local 24-7 pub, Stratys, tonight.

Made me think about the nature of language, communication and connection.....It's the wee things, like how you refer to milk, that make the difference.

I can ask for directions to the station or tell people that I have twin brothers and no pets in a few languages but these things don't help you feel connected in a foreign land. It's the mundanities that do...Just saying.

(and as for 'red milk' what's it all about!)
