The Jay

It is not a great shot.

But it was taken in a hurry at 8am this morning through the living room window while sneaking down the stairs trying not to scare it away!! We have never had a Jay in the garden before and I was so chuffed to see it. I know there is a pair in the woods further down the road but this was amazing....simple things I know!!! It was sitting eating the fallen seeds under the tree. It made my day so if the shot is blurry I don't care. Seconds after I took it it flew off with a flash of black and white!

It comes second only to the Hoopoe which got blown off course severely and stayed around the garden for about a week many years ago!! That was thrilling but I wasn't blipping then so no photo.

My boy is home for the weekend so no doubt a blip of him at some point!! So pleased to have him!!
