Blue whistling thrush
Myophonus caeruleus
I’ve been trying to capture one of these for a while. They’re generally not friendly, exactly, but not timid. They tend to practise brinkmanship with the camera and wait until I’m poised to take the picture before suddenly flying off. I managed to catch this one in the middle of afternoon tea though the wrong bit is in focus.
