Restoration

Well restoring them to their former use! Not the same as upcycling thought- maybe I should more accurately say I’m reviving them?! Don’t worry I’m not skilled enough to do any kind of attempt at enamel work although I have seen some amazing work online by amateur enamel restorers online (very inspiring).

Three very old buckles Art Nouveau (mainly) so about 1930s. Rather worn gilt to the back.

Should be a nice little project and hopefully I’ll get to wear them all.

All in all pretty good nick for their age.

One cost me £7.50, one cost me nearer £90 and the mid-price one came in at about £35. Can you guess which one is which? Antiques Roadshow style quiz! :-)
