Rest and be Thankful

On my run this morning I headed to Corstorphine Hill, to this viewpoint that looks over Murrayfield Golf Course to Edinburgh Castle, Calton Hill and Arthur’s Seat with the Forth beyond. The weather was a bit grey this morning but the view is still impressive - this was the spot where travellers used to pause to take in their first glimpse of Edinburgh before the last leg of their journey, and also where David Balfour and Alan Breck Stewart parted company in R.L. Stevenson’s “Kidnapped”.
