Otherwise known as Irish Spurge. Salmon poachers used the plant illegally by crushing it and putting it in a sack, then throwing it upstream into a small river, killing the fish. One woman told of her brother being caught , holding a large salmon, by the bailiff. He immediately hit the bailiff with the fish, made his getaway and emigrated to America.
