Marbles Are Blue
Calm most of the day, still cold in the gentle breeze. It was light rain most of the morning, but cleared into a sunny afternoon, and stunning evening.
My Saturday working in the museum. It was a quiet morning, but we ended up with a really busy afternoon. Headed down for my shift in the shop after tea. Mam and dad popped for a walk after work, and then feet up.
A new horse arrived at mam's croft today, Jasper, formerly known as Marbles are Blue. He's almost five years old, a big boy at 16.1HH, and had been a race horse. His racing career didn't last long, after racing twice, and only coming second last each time, he went into early retirement. Family friend, Linda Bain, has brought him up here, and keeping him at mam's for the time being. That big jacket will keep him warm, until the weather warms. Note the sheep behind are looking quite discombobulated! Jasper in mam's field, Aith, Cunningsburgh.
