Working in our woods
We spent another day trimming, picking up sticks, branches and burning. We're tired, but happy. The weather was lovely and we are thrilled that we have accomplished so much and it's not even the end of April yet.
In the lower right of the collage you can see a bit of white, Sarah and David's house. The briars and downed trees between the houses shows damage done by years of winter storms. The photo above that one is my brother's house, with much to be tided up in between, it's never ending work. My dad used to keep all of this cleared and he burned the wood in their wood stove all winter. It's all a beautiful piece of land, purchased by my maternal grandparents in 1928, the house and 15 acres for $5000. We have cherished every acre since.
For the Record,
This day came in warm and sunny.
All hands sore, but satisfied.
