Outing with Grandma

Sometimes, when she feels up to it, we take Grandma for an outing in the car. So today, we went through the beautiful early spring landscape, heading south. We went to a small castle where there is a café during summer. Grandma walked with me along the gravel road for a bit, enjoying the sunshine and the flowers. Yay! 

On the way back, Grandma asked if we could go to the ice cream barn. I heard it, loud and clear. And guess what?? Mum said No. Whaat?? It was something about the third wave peaking and mum thinking it would be too risky to go inside for ice cream on a busy Sunday. Because everyone goes for outings into the countryside these days. Hm. She PROMISED we’ll go later.
