Dangerous but fun times with Uncle Donald.
A really good day today. Another all night in her own bed from Amelie, zero tantrums, the arrival of Auntie Laura and Uncle Donald and a fantastic time at Jo Jingles.
For the first time ever she sang! And it was not accompanied by the CD so it was otherwise very quiet yet she sang loudly and confidently and, most importantly, HAPPILY! I was so shocked I had a bit of a hot flush and had to remove my jumper, which rather alarmed the other 5 mums and the teacher - all ready for me to drop at any second.
Anyway, she was brilliant. The song was twinkle twinkle which is her favourite and just shows how far she has come since that first week we sang the very same song but spent the whole time with her head buried into my side.
She joined in with everything else, even shouting out answers to questions and playing the peekaboo game - it was like having a different child! It seems a shame that she has 2 weeks to go before it finishes and I don't think we can sign up again as I can't take baby, it wouldn't be fair to her or others in the class...
The rest of the day was spent with Auntie Laura and Uncle Donald. She had a great afternoon with them and I noticed a definite improvement in her behaviour today - doing as I asked and as I said, no tantrums. She has either come out the other side of her illness or its been a developmental thing too - I'm inclined to believe its a bit of both.
Mini - party/pretend birthday time tomorrow so the stage (aka - the living room) has been set and everything laid out ready. We are doing presents too incase I miss her real birthday on Monday.
Wouldn't it be ironic if I went into labour and missed her pretend birthday?! She knows its going to happen so I can't exactly cancel! Eek....
