Lean Pickings!

This has been feeling like a very odd month. Virtually no April showers, cold winds, blue skies and still not all the trees yet in leaf. We drove up to Longash today, bought some cosmos plants and compost, a copy of the Dartmoor magazine and had a walk. So dry up here on the common. Lots of new lambs and ponies scouring the short-cropped grass. The oak trees coming into leaf were nice, but it was very cold in the wind on the exposed parts of the common.
