Beinn Ghlas and Ben Lawers
Well, if the Pentlands a couple of weeks ago was 'heaven', today was 'paradise' ... a simply marvelous day up on Beinn Ghlas and Ben Lawers: I left Edinburgh at the crack-of-dawn, so the hills were pretty quiet for my route; there was completely clear weather; not a breath of wind; still some snow around; and even some cloud inversion :-)
Main snap shows the final approach to Ben Lawers, with the edge of Loch Tay just visible; 1st extra shows the sun over Loch Tay; 2nd extra, the view from my lunch-stop, looking back over Beinn Ghlas, with Meall nan Tarmachan in the distance; 3rd extra, the snow on the ridge leading away from the Ben Lawers trig point (& looking down Loch Tay); 4th extra, the inevitable selfie at the top!
Another truly marvelous walking day :-))
