Bow Butts, Ceres

A day out to Fife and to Ceres.
The Bow Butts is an historic greenspace in Ceres in Fife and home of the oldest Highland Games in the world.
The Games have been held here on the last Saturday of June, every year (except for war and Covid Pandemic) since the charter to hold the Games was given to the people of the village by Robert Bruce in 1314 in recognition of their support at the battle of Bannockburn.
It was sad to look over this area where in part years I have shot eight Highland Games(see photos here) knowing that there won't be an event this year.
