Taddiport bridge.
Taddiport Bridge had seen some interesting going’s on during its life.
“The Battle of Torrington”
Neither side had any artillery, but Fairfax's roundheads attacked on the 16th and eventually broke through the barricades. The Royalist army fled down the hill and across the Taddiport bridge, and almost all escaped. The roundheads had forgotten to guard the bridge.
