Searching

As I said yesterday a trip out to fiskerton Fen for a catch up with my birding mates. This shot shows them scanning one of the pools in search of waders. Not much to been seen let alone photograph . We did see some Curlew and a couple of whimbrel . The highlight for me was to finally get to see a Grasshopper Warbler for the first time, I have heard them but normally they hide away and just call , this one I managed to see as it flew from 1 bush to another and then watch it through the branches of the bush.
Back home for a spot of lunch and then a trip over to Tuxford to see Jeri & the boys , the sun was out but a rather chilly day . Back home now in the warm for an evening of TV viewing
