Wood Anemone
Left at 8am this morning for a walk around Cammo Estate, Grotto Bridge down the River Almond to Old Cramond Brig. Sunny dry day with a cool breeze. When it is quiet it is lovely to stand & listen to the birds singing. Saw the dipper too.
Plenty of wildflowers to spot enroute, wild garlic & bluebells flowering & ramsons just beginning to flower.
Wood anemone on it's own but there was a clump further along tucked in the shade of trees beside the path along the river. The river was very low today & could see more of the rocks under Grotto Bridge.
Stopped at other Scotmid to get more wee plants for the garden. Back by 11am for morning coffee.
Chilled until lunch, dug some wild garlic out, sat for a while until sun no longer warm in the garden. Might be frosty tonight, hope wee planties are going to be okay.
