2021 Friday — Patricia

Watching a friend grow old is difficult, but if I look carefully, watching is also a blessing. Yes, it’s startling to see the aging process, but so refreshing to realize that aging has not changed the personality or the spirit of the person.

We have known Patricia Barker for many years. God has used her in our lives again and again to encourage and to guide us. She has spoken words of wisdom to us, words of love, and words of encouragement. She has seen me at my worst and hopefully at my best, and she has been a friend through every season.

Visiting Patricia today at the lovely Board & Care home where she lives was a blessing for Mr. Fun and myself. She did not complain about anything, and it was obvious that she has a loving relationship with her caregivers.

The last thing Patricia said to us was “Be sure to tell everyone hello.“ So “Hello”!
