Journies at home

A dreich day

Fire lit to cheer us up and wrap up a long day.
The wind stopped and brought the rain it always promises.
The fields have been sun saturated and are now just saturated.
We walked even so, accompanied by a cuckoo which I know is a brood parasite but its song means spring.
The swallows and swifts have returned from Africa and nesting in the eaves. The Moulin is full of wrens which don't seem to mind the sound of the drill.
