Life in Sunny Dubai

I blipped yesterday.

G's student is now doing his final exams so her schedule has changed for when she needs to be in school. She ended up taking herself in for a lesson while I got ready for a meeting closer to home.

She picked me up and we headed to Bur Juman. Our local agent sent a PRO to help us with a government job. We're having our names added to the company's labour card. I don't know why this was not done when it was first set up but it's being done now, so that is good. It didn't take long and as we were already in the mall, we did a quick shop in Carrefour before heading home.

We made a quick decision to visit Global Village for the last time this season. Normally it winds up by the first week of April (it starts to get very warm) but this year, it got extended to 2nd May.

We got there after the sun went down and even then, it was over 30 deg C. G knew exactly what she wanted, so we did that first. It was good to have a leisurely walk around the site on a not too busy evening. We had dinner (Iranian) and dessert (Turkish) before leaving. Just a few hours but enough to enjoy the atmosphere. We travelled so light, I didn't even take my small and easy-to-carry Finepix X30. It's the first time we've gone to Global Village without a camera!

My picture is a cool saying on the wall of the tea shop we stopped at for saffron tea. Some of you who live near Central London might recognise the FiLLi brand.
