The end of the road

Whangaruru, a secretive, tucked away little village. The access to the homes at the far end is along the beach only!
This whole area is just gorgeous, and such a sheltered harbour. Classic old fashioned kiwi baches line the foreshore, boats launched from the beach using ancient tractors, love it.
Although the evenings are getting cooler and darkness falling sooner, it is a great time of year to visit. I suspect it would be too busy for us in the height of summer.
