A Plum Job

I spent most of the day making a large batch of plum and ginger chutney because the only way I could get some of my favourite Omega plums was to buy a whole bucketful. Something (blackbirds?) stripped my little tree before the fruit was anywhere near ready, and their season came and went in a period between my infrequent visits to town. I found an orchard that had two bucketsful left.
