So. Much. Lab. Work.

It's reading break, and you'd think I'd be doing some reading (or at least procrastinating on doing readings). But no. I've been in the lab all day, every day, for more hours than I care to count. This has been my most productive reading break yet.

It's actually quite exciting though. I'm expressing and purifying the protein I've been working on since the start of my honours project in September!

These are the collection tubes of the FPLC I'll be using later this week to purify my protein. Right now I'm growing up E. coli in liquid culture to express the protein. Grow litte E. coli, grow!
