Loch Rannoch...
The weather forecast on MetCheck wasn't great. Snow and minus 10 forecast. Hmmmm think there may be an error there. BBC weather app was more positive and accurate as it turns out. Cloudy with some sunshine and rain.
We had a very lazy start to the day as we always do on the first day of a break. We ended up not having lunch till almost 2pm so we were later leaving for today's adventures than we planned. It's actually very difficult to tear oneself away from the beautiful views we have here, especially when the covered decking has lots of little robins fluttering around. But set off we did.
Today's trip took us to Kenmore then across to Coshieville where we followed the road towards Tummel Bridge but took a left onto Schiehallion Road, which is a beautiful single track road that runs along the foot of Schiehallion, the alternative route to Kinloch Rannoch from the B846.
We stopped at Kinloch Rannoch to take some shots along the loch, then headed off to drive around the loch east to west, stopping for photographs when the mood took us. The weather was changeable, which made the views change constantly. So beautiful.
We carried on to the head of the loch then followed the road round and followed it back eastwards along the south side of the loch. Today's blip was taken just as we arrived back at Kinloch Rannoch looking west towards Rannoch Moor and Glencoe.
Got back to the house just after 6pm and we have ended the day as we started....with food and being lazy.
Perfect :-))
PS My lovely Blip and real life pal LeeAnne has finally unleashed Markie on the world. I urge you to check him out. He's going to be a star! And if you're a potato lover you could do yourself a favour and treat yourself to a bag of these amazing tatties :-)))
