Mourning Dove

This guy was perched high in a tree near the Rec Center.  I know they're very common, but not in Longmont anymore.  Several years ago we started seeing more and more Eurasian Collared Doves and fewer Mourning Doves until they were virtually gone.  That's why I get excited when I see one in town.  I miss their sweet cooing. 

I am always grateful when I don't have to cook!  PD is making chicken enchiladas tonight with Spanish rice and refried beans.  I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. :-)
