A time for everything

Back in the saddle!

Tuesday
There were some beautiful sights along the Little Miami trail this afternoon, heading north from Corwin. It was a gorgeous pleasantly hot day, and we certainly weren’t alone on the bike trail. We saw a couple of lots of cows along our route, and passed numerous fields in different stages, as well as Spring blossom, wildflowers, and all the fresh green leaves of Spring. We had started the day with breakfast on the patio - first time this year - then on phone calls, I was talking with my friend Ellen, and Roger was talking with his Dad. Then it was off to Corwin, stopping en route to buy some bird seed, as we were virtually out, and the shop closes early, so would have been closed by the time we got back.
Usually Roger’s first job when he gets back from vacation is to cut the grass, especially at this time of year when it is growing so fast. However, he’s become quite chatty lately with Mike next door, who is single and still lives with his parents, who are quite a bit older than us. So Mike usually cuts their grass, and seems to enjoy doing it, so Roger had asked him if he would be interested in cutting ours while we were gone, and he said he’d be glad to. Roger offered to pay him, but he said that wasn’t necessary, so we came back to beautifully cut grass! So instead, Roger was kind enough to do our grocery shop, while I stayed home and did laundry and a bit of housework. When he got home, our daughter Jen called for a chat, which we did sitting out on the patio again, while drinking our tea.
