Ginger Ninja....

....is my name for this lively kitten. He was climbing up water pipes on to the tin roof of the restaurant we were in. A hair elastic fell out of my bag and he pounced on it, which is when I took my shot. The black kitten was a bit quieter. More kittens are due any day now, so Mum is keeping a low profile.

We had a scare in our condo complex. A couple arrived back here after having done some work in Bangkok. On their second day home they went to hospital where they were diagnosed with Covid-19. Our management team were then informed and very quickly organised for deep cleansing to take place. Fortunately they had kept to their apartment, in the building opposite ours. The office and reception are on our side and had to be sprayed. The lifts in building A were also sprayed. The blocks are identified as Building A and Building B. We are in B. The management let all residents know as soon as they knew and took action very quickly. The only criticism I have is that it should be mandatory to report your travel arrangements to the office, especially if you are going to areas with high infections. Bangkok still has very high levels of infection. Chiang Mai spiked following Songkran, when people traditionally return home, but our figures are now dropping back down. Some restrictions are still in place, swimming pools and gyms are closed, restaurants have to close by 10pm, so last service is 9pm. Restaurants cannot serve alcohol, bars are closed. Although I do understand the rational behind these restrictions it saddens me because a lot of businesses here are already suffering. Our daily infection rates are dropping fast.

I hope that you are all keeping safe and well.
