Early Auckland

We attended a Members’ Early Auckland Talk at the Museum today, which was presented by the Pictorial Curator. The talk was fascinating and very well presented. The exhibition used old photos from 1865, when Auckland was a mere youngster of 25. There were also photos taken in 2019 from, as near as possible, the same angles. The difference from 1865 to 2019 was incredible. The main photo is of the earliest known photo of Auckland and the extra provides some information about it.
