Fontainebleau Grove 1845

Today we did a walk in Ickworth Park that we had never done before - partly because the 'unimproved' paths and tracks are now dry after the heavy rains of a month or two ago which turned them into seas of mud - we are now in a state of drought! Anyway we came across this stone erection which looked like a gravestone. As of now we have no idea why it is there other than as an older version of a sign in the same area that gave the name to this part of the woodland as "Fontainebleau Grove"
