Soaked

Meteorologists saying we've had 4 inches of rain in 3 hours with 2-4 more by noon. The pool reached the top edge before my husband went out to drain it down about 4 inches. He will repeat that later. Flash flooding with people having to be rescued from their vehicles, including a school bus sitting on high ground on the road with no way out. Kiddos on the bus were laughing and waving. They are not in danger, just stuck for now. The sirens can be heard every few minutes. One tornado sighted on the ground just to the north of us, but the flooding is widespread. An employee of my husbands if fighting the water from coming into his front door. News is saying there is no safe way to get to the airport. Thankfully my husband is home today! He was gone on his first business trip since the beginning of COVID, flew out Monday and returned Tuesday. Staying home and staying safe today. Our boat is in the garage on the ready.. ;)
