Bleak

Very grey day outdoors today, so I spent most of it indoors.

I chickened out of cycling to work, partly due to tiredness (Jen's all night gaming sessions intruding on my sleep patterns again) and partly due to the weather. Spent the day trying desperately to catch up with my work, which is some refactoring (a task I'm not good at at the best of times) but issues revolving around too many people trying to work on one code file at the same time got in the way and by 5 I was ready to hit the pub.

Fortunately Newcastle were playing in the Europa League and kick off was at 5pm rather than the expected 7:45pm and I had good excuse to leave work early and go to the pub. Not a scintillating game but a no score draw was a decent result, would have possibly preferred a score draw and the away goal advantage but with the team we played I was satisfied.

Also been playing the new 'Tomb Raider' game on Xbox. It's graphically very good though I'm unsure how much I like some of the play your way through a cut sequence set pieces. Feels like there are too many of them, though the graphics are so good you can't notice when you are heading into a cut-sequence.
