The Glastonbury Goddess Hall

We went over to Glastonbury this morning to get some Aldi gin and then walk to the carpet shop to look at flooring for the kitchen. Unfortunately,  the carpet shop was unexpectedly closed due to an electrical fault but on the positive side I spotted this impressive mural on the wall of what turned out to be the Goddess Hall. There is a big Goddess culture in the town. Followers regard Goddess as " the creative, nurturing energy at the heart of the Universe" and believe that Glastonbury is a sacred place being the Gateway to the Isle of Avalon. The mural depicts both the Goddess and Avalon.

There’s a really interesting website about this religion and beliefs here:

This afternoon I managed to apply for a new passport online, having got a passport photo done at the local photographic shop this morning. The process was much quicker and easier than I expected  and much better than the paper system.

Off out with Chris and our fellow Yeovil fans Howard & Steve for a drink or two while mulling over the season so far.
