Bluebells

I had a bit of spare time this afternoon, and went off in search of bluebells in one of the local woods (near Beauchief Abbey). The light was coming and going, but it wasn't raining, and it was very peaceful. It was more of a location for close-ups, rather than broad vistas, which was fine with me.

The news rumbles on... will one of the many announced investigations/reviews etc hold anyone in the govt to account? I swing between really not wanting to think about it - since the prospects for accountability are poor - and feeling cross.

Richard and I have been watching a BBC series called 'Bent Coppers'. It's about London and the Metropolitan police in the 1960s and 70s, when there was "a firm within a firm": corrupt policemen, taking money from criminals to turn a blind eye (or worse).  A long time ago, but it feels like an appropriate programme for now.
