Seaton Sluice

Back to Cramlington today, after which we drove to Seaton Sluice for a walk on the beach, meeting the tractor cleaning the sand (top photo).
At the end we walked by the Seaton Burn a little way before returning along the top of the dune, with a fine view of the pattern the tractor had left for the incoming tide to settle (bottom photo). It may look bright but the wind came from the Baltic.

Against the wall by the burn I found a plant new to me, identified as Duke of Argyll's Teaplant (Lycium barbarum L), see extra,  an alien, native of China, cultivated from C18 as a hedging plant, naturalised through most of England - but not Scotland.
