At Last!

This isn't the prettiest or most impressive shot I took today, but it IS one I have been waiting for ever since the beginning of wildflower season.  I wanted the wildflowers to be tall enough to reach the sign and I also wanted the flowers surrounding it to be Gaillardias or Bluebonnets, since they are prominent on the sign.  Today was the day that everything came together for the shot that I wanted.  The Bluebonnets lost out to the Gaillardias, because they don't grow fast enough and have already been overtaken by the grasses that grow so much faster and taller.  But the Gaillardias are bright and beautiful and it seems to me that they are crowded around admiring the sign that is protecting them----for now!
